Looking for a place to build your own research group from the ground up? The QLAB Center has opened an international competition for the position of Leader of Group 4 – Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence. It is a unique opportunity for an outstanding scientist: four years of funding, full scientific independence, and access to global technology partners.
Group 4 will develop hybrid quantum algorithms and innovative computing paradigms, including neuromorphic ones: algorithms based on discrete quantum transforms optimized for NISQ systems, reservoir computing, generative language models, and autonomous quantum agents, as well as methods for benchmarking and verifying quantum advantage. The expected outcomes are energy-efficient software and photonic processors.

A candidate with a PhD (physics, computer science, mathematics, electronic engineering, or a related discipline), a significant scientific track record matching the group’s profile, experience in leading a research team or demonstrated leadership potential, and experience in carrying out research projects. The newly established Center for Hybrid Quantum-Classical Information Technologies (QLAB) at the University of Warsaw is opening recruitment for fully funded PhD positions across three research groups.
We are seeking motivated early-stage researchers ready to work at the frontier of quantum technologies, photonics, secure communication, imaging, metrology, and hybrid quantum-classical systems.
Open PhD positions are available in the following groups:

Experience at a university or research institution will be an asset.
